What is SEO?

SEO is What Makes the Difference!

So what is SEO now? SEO is translated to Search Engine Optimization. This obviously doesn’t mean that we try to optimize Google, even though we sometimes would love to. What SEO is, is the art of optimizing a website to appear on the first page of search engine results for a specific key phrase. To understand how this works, we need to to know that Google doesn’t “like” nor “dislike” your website.

Google has only one goal and one goal only: “To serve the best possible results to their audience“!

Although the basics of operation of all search engines seems to be same, there are minor differences between them and these lead to major changes in their search results. Different search engines work with different algorithms and these algorithms are top secret! But the algorithms are not the only difference between search engine. Yahoo and Bing for example are giving more weight to on-page keywords factors, while for Google back links, thus links coming from other websites, are most essential. Another factor is that for Google websites are like wine – the older, the better, while Yahoo and Bing generally have no preferences towards websites with aged domains. This means that it might take more time until your site gets to the top of Google, than in Yahoo or Bing. Fact is that we need to get ALL FACTORS right and not only parts of what SEO is but the full range of SEO to actually get to the top of the search results.

What is the Full Range of SEO?

First of all there are two parts of SEO, on-site SEO and off-site SEO. To optimize your website you will need to get both of them right or your efforts might end up being wasted.

What is SEO – Part 1 – On-Site SEO

Plongee Koh Tao - Google Thailand

Three websites on page #1 !

1. The Right Keyword — The first and most important factor of SEO is to optimize the website for the correct keywords and key phrases. While this may sound obvious, far too many people get this first point of SEO wrong. They assume what people will type in to Google instead of doing some serious research on the matter. With help of tools like Market Samurai, or the free Google Keyword tool, everybody can determine exactly what people are looking for, so there is no need to guess.

2. The URL — The URL or Domain Name of your website must contain your most important Keywords and not necessarily your business name. Your URL should not consist of more than three words if you want fast results. The URL is one of the most important factors of SEO. You can always point or park an other domain onto the same website,e.g.yourbusinessname.com for print purposes like business cards.

3. The Header Title Tag – The second most important part of on-page SEO is the title tag. The title tag of each page of a website needs to be different to the other pages and contain your keywords. Title tags can be created in many different ways, manually or with plugins depending only on the system you are working with.

4. The Meta Keywords, Description and Robots Tag — These tags need to be in the header of every page of your website. Google uses the description tag to show your site in its results, so treat this as optimized sales copy! While Google officially doesn’t use the Meta Keywords tag anymore since many years, other search engine like Bing and Yahoo, still use them to rank your site. The robots tag is where you declare your sitemap and add restrictions for crawling bots.

5. The H1, H2 and H3 Titles –  The page titles are extremely important, they show the search engine the main subjects of your page and determine how the content will be indexed. Make the H Titles keyword relevant.

What is SEO? - Getting 3 sites for the same key phrase on the first page of Google!

Website 1 plongeekohtao.com

6. The Body Text – Each article should have 400 – 600 words. Don’t try to optimize all your articles for one and the same keyword or key phrase! Try to have one main key phrase for each article. The text of your articles must have the keyword or key phrase you want to rank for at the beginning – in the first 50 words, in the middle and at the end – the last 50 words, of your text. The words used in the first sentence are most important because of the Google’s LSI algorithm. Try to place the keywords often but keep your text readable for your users. Don’t overdo it. Remember that your text not only needs to rank high, but it also needs to sell. There is a fantastic little plugin for on-site SEO if you work with WordPress,it’s called SEO Pressor; have a look.

7. Internal Links Text — You need to connect the internal pages of your website together to achieve a higher overall relevance of your website. These internal links must contain your targeted keywords and phrases in the anchor text so that search engine bots can ‘see’ that there is more relevant content to this keyword to be found on the same site. In other words; don’t write one article about dog training but rater write three articles and link them to each other.

8. Outbound Links  — Don’t use more than two or max. three links to other websites in one article if you can avoid it. If your outbound links don’t go to one of your own websites, try to add a rel=”nofollow” tag to the links so you don’t give away link weight to other sites which don’t link back to you. Google requires lots of back links to rank your site high. Nevertheless, a few back links coming from authority sites like .edu or .gov sites, and links from websites with high page rank will rank you higher than 200 links from PR O sites.

9. Images and Alt Tags — All of your images should be named correctly and described via “ALT Tags” with the keywords you are optimizing the particular page for – If your image is uploaded on your web hosting account the file name of the images must also have an SEO optimized name, DC-34675.jpg is not very optimized. If you have an image about a Whale Shark, name it whale-shark.jpg before you upload it. If you are on WordPress, use NextGen Gallery for SEO optimized picture titles and tags.

10. Keyword Density — The density of keywords you use in one article should be between 5 and max 8%, everything more than that will be considered spam and can get you in all sorts of trouble. Also keep in mind that your visitor is supposed to become your customer; so you don’t want to loose him, after all the work you have done to get him here, because of an unreadable, keyword cluttered text. Write informative and use your keywords in a most natural way.

What is SEO – Part 2 – Off-Site SEO

1. Keyword Analysis – The most essential part on what SEO is, to know exactly what keywords your potential customers are looking for. Understanding what keywords and key phrases are searched most, means knowing  what your website should emphasize on.  How to use these keywordswords and terms in your off-site promotion is essential. Every link coming to your site from another website offers so called “link juice” That’s a kind of power drink for your website. If these sites use your keywords in their anchor text when they link to your website instead of e.g. “Click Here” your site will be credited for these keywords and over time rank higher. Keyword analysis is a moving target and it can’t be done once and then be forgotten. Social trends change and adapt. What is hipp today can be hopp tomorrow! Website owners must perform keyword analysis often and adjust their campaigns.

What is SEO? - Opimizing your website in all possible ways!

Website 2 plongeekohtao.fr

2. Competition Analysis – Go to a website like Alexa.com or Compete.com which provide free analytical tools to check on your competitors sites. Yahoo Site Explorer (is shutting down soon! – But that’s another story…) for now still is an excellent resource for tracking of your own and of competitor’s back links and determining what directories or paid listings may be beneficial to join. Investigating your competitors and their sites thoroughly is an important part of what SEO is. To achieve the best results on SEO competition analyzes we use Market Samurai which is the ultimate warrior tool for real-time results not only on the best keywords but also on competitive sites.

3. Avoid Duplicate Content – In a modern content management system like WordPress, duplicate content on a website is now taken care of by the unique canonical tag on each page or post. If you are optimizing your site through article marketing, which is a great way forward, because you can create many valuable text links back to your website, helping your search engine rankings greatly. Nevertheless, you should avoid by all means, to republish your own article without re-writing a copy first. Publishing your original text on multiple sites can bring you in all sorts of trouble and your rank could easily be suffering instead of improving.

4. Deep Linking – Deep links are the links which point to a page inside your website but other than your home page. Too many webmasters focus entirely on inbound links to their home page for their most competitive keywords. A far better and much more effective SEO strategy is to create categories and topics on a website and build relevant back links from high authority an high PR sites which target more specific keywords for each category page. While as more links you can get as better it is, still works,  links from authority websites and high page rank websites are clearly more benefices.

5. In-Bound Links Reciprocal Links and other Links – Getting in-bound links from high authority sites on your keyword topic is the best that can happen to your site, and it really counts if the anchor text is made up of your most precious keywords! Providing fresh quality content is still the best way to achieve quality in-bound links from high quality websites. Reciprocal links are links where you get a link from another site and in return give them a link back from your site.  One Way Links on the other hand are links going in one direction only. A one way link coming to your site is worth more than a reciprocal link. And finally there is three way linking, where one of three or more sites site links to the other and gets a link back not from the same site but from another site of this pool. Since none of the sites being linked to, links back to the other site, this creates one way links to each site even though there was no reciprocal link exchange.

6. Social Bookmarking & Social Networking –  Social Bookmarking is basically a collection of online “favored websites” like Digg.com or Yahoo Buzz. Since these sites have high page rank it seems to be a good idea to leave a link to our website on as many bookmarking sites as possible. Facebook Always and again Facebook! Promoting your business and your website with a Facebook Company Page, a Facebook group, and even Facebook Ads can greatly help you connect with your potential customers in a more personal manner, increase traffic to your site, and create brand loyalty, this is what social networking is all about. Your internet marketing strategy should incorporate the potential of Facebook’s social network.  Twitter – Google and Bing are both offering real time search results their search results pages, including live tweets directly from Twitter users. Search engine optimizing your website for Twitter search should become a key part of your social media presence and therefore a part of your SEO plan. Promoting your website and your products on Twitter will over time increase your brand and website recognition and it will improve real time organic search results on these search engines.

7. Press Releases – Press releases are a great way to tell the world about your website and your business. Press releases can contain links back to your website and also directly drive traffic to your site. There are many free press release companies you can find on Google, some of them you can pay a little fee and get your press release published to a broader public. We recommend to write a new press release for your business at least every three month.

What is SEO? - Doing ALL the things right and using the best tools to do it!

Website 3 - instructeurplongee.com

8. Modern Times! – Blogs and RSS Feeds – Optimizing a site for search engines also includes optimizing your blog and RSS feed. Each website is different, but typically blogs created in WordPress or other content management systems can be incorporated to maximize your blog posts for inclusion in search enginess and help increase your visibility throughout the web as well as the organic search relevancy of your site for your best keywords. Google bought FedBurner, the worlds largest collection of RSS feeds, a few years back, which means having your RSS feed registered there will help to improve things.

9. Paid Search Engine and Directory Inclusion – Other than a search engine, a web directory is basically a collection of related links. Typically the direct  traffic, coming from web directories is very small, but there are SEO benefits to strategically placing your site on the key business directories for your business. Paying $ to be included into search engine results may be annoying but can be very strategic and also very beneficial for you. One example, I would like to mention here, is the famous Yahoo! Directory. Although the price of 299$/year may seem to be outrageous at first, but it does influence your Google rankings if your site is listed here! It really does. And the best bit is, that once you paid for the inclusion for the first year, Yahoo is not likely to through your site out if you stop paying the following year.  The Google Directory has been shut down for the reason that Google believes that web search is the fastest way to get to information. So there is no way of saying how long these directories will last. One directory that is here forever is DMOZ Open Directory, from where Google also used to collect information for many years.

10. Local Search – Local search has become all more important. For once Google is not only Google.com,it’s also Google.de and Google.fr and all of them will deliver slightly different search results, depending on the location you are at the moment of your search. Optimizing your site for local search involves including your site in directories and yellow pages of the internet. Bing, and Yahoo still allow companies to promote their site through local listings including the company address, company info, and hours of operation.

What is SEO – Conclusion

If the answer on what SEO is, has come a bit complexer than you expected and if all these things above spook you, I have even worst news for you, you need to be doing ALL of these things above to actually beat your competition. You need to do them all as good as you possibly can, but you need to do it ALL! You can be sure that somewhere along the way you ARE going to be better than most of your competitors! You CAN do it! And if you can’t… WE CAN! Simply fill in the form below and we will get back to you with an assessment and an internet marketing plan created by a professional SEO Company, within a few days. You can always make the first one later son!” So the point is; you have to get to the first page of all major search engines for your most important key phrases like <<diving “your region”>> and you can be certain to also get more business to your dive center. If this seems to be a long way to go from where you stand now, simply read on.

Questions every Dive Shop Manager or Owner should ask about his/her Internet Marketing

Let me first explain in short where we stand today. Internet marketing has become the most important tool and the most valuable part of an marketing plan of any prospering business today. This is true especially in the tourist and particularly in the scuba diving and accommodation industry. And that’s where we come in! We specialize since many years in promoting dive centers, resorts and hotels. Right now, at this very moment, thousands of potential customers are using the internet to search for scuba diving courses, diving equipment and new dive sites, they search for diving vacations, diving lessons and other scuba diving related keywords and phrases in other words, they search the very things YOU offer! Now, if your website is not on the first page of Google, it’s your loss! And this means that the time as come to move things forward and ask yourself some serious questions about your internet marketing strategies, and make sure you get the right answers! Here are the most important ones.

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

The most imminent questions must be;

  • Will your potential customers find YOU before they find your COMPETITORS?
  • Are you on the first page of Google when you search for your product and services with the top key phrases?
  • Do you know how many websites link back to your website; more than to your competitors?
  • Is your site really search engine optimized in every possible way?

But not enough with these 4 important questions. If it where that easy, we would soon be out of a job! Once your website is optimized for search engines, you need to do a more things to gain top positions for your website. Therefore there will be a few more questions you must ask yourself here:

2. Selling and Following Up

  • First of all; does your website sell your products and services, or do you only get an inquiry every then and when?
  • Do you have quality content (text, images, video) on your website to attract visitors and keep them busy on your site for as long as possible?
  • Does your website show an appealing description in the search results pages of Google so that people want to click on it?
  • Do you have a good punchline on your website, letting you stand out and making you different from your competitors?
  • Does your site have a great looking landing page where visitors are invited to contact you with only one easy click on a button?
  • Does your landing page have a “Call to Action” button that literally screams “CLICK ME”?
  • Is it from every page ‘one click’ easy to contact you through your website?
  • Is your website easy to navigate, can all important pages be found and accessed easily?
  • Do you still have a business email address ending with @hotmail.com or @yahoo.com or a gmail address instead of your domain name?
  • Can visitors easily sign up for your newsletter and do you send regularly newsletters to your customers?

3. Syndication of your Website

Get it Out there! Once you got the above two points right, it’s time to syndicate your website and use social media marketing and social network marketing to bring your business up to speed;

  • Is there a well visible place on your site, where visitors can sign up for your newsletter, so you can follow up with your offers?
  • Are there social bookmarking and social media buttons or widgets on your web pages, so visitors can tell their friends about you and share your site on their Facebook profile?
  • Do you have a business page on Facebook with leads visitors from Facebook to your website?
  • Do you have a RSS feed like Google Feedburner installed on your website which syndicates your content in the modern internet?
  • Are you using Onlywire or other social bookmarking services to distribute your content throughout the social networks?
  • Are you pinging new content so it can be easily picked up by search engine bots as soon as you published it?
  • Are you on Twitter and are you regularly tweeting?
  • Do you write a press release about your diving business at least every three month?
  • Are you using Google Maps to rank in local searches?

4. Tracking your Results

After you answered all the previous questions about internet marketing, SEO and your website with yes, you’re not yet exactly finished. Now that everything is set to perfectly work, we need to know what’s going on as soon as the first results run in which means it’s time for result tracking, so that your efforts will be rewarded and you can make corrections to your campaigns to make them even more successful. The questions you must ask here are as follows:

  • First and utmost; is the Google tracking code installed throughout your website?
  • Do you have additional and accurate statistics installed for your site?, to not only trust one source of result tracking
  • Do you know where your visitors come from and what pages on your site they stayed on longest?
  • Do you use Google AdWords to test your campaigns and landing pages?
  • Have you got Free Live Chat installed on your website?
  • And finally; can you see the return of interest (ROI) of your efforts in your online marketing campaigns?

Fact is, there are Five Places in the Internet where your business MUST be seen!

Today everyone uses Google, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook to search for whatever they desire, don’t you too? For dive centers, sailing charter, hotels and other accommodation businesses, there is fifth entity that you simply cannot overlook anymore; TripAdvisor! We like to call them the big five. Sure, there is Yahoo and Bing and thousands of social networks around the web, but all of them together will never be able to drive as many potential clients to your website as the big five will do, not when you’re in the tourist industry at least.. Once you have a great website and you are at the first page of Google, on a top spot of Youtube and have a well made Facebook page, all other search engines and many networks will pick your site up automatically or with far less extra effort.

How to get there

Now, if you have come that far in my article and you remain with one last question in your head saying: “How in the world am I going to do all this; I have a JOB!?” No worries, we can help! ONE Internet Marketing Co., Ltd. is very successful in internet marketing for dive centers, accommodation and sailing on the big five, for many years now. We are highly passionate about online marketing and we know almost every place on the internet that could sell or promote your dive center or dive school. We also achieve top rankings in Yahoo, Bing and other search engines, although we use many social networks such as Taucher.net Twitter, Blogspot and WordPress, to promote our clients services. Our main efforts will always go towards the big five, simply because the majority of the people will sooner or later search there too if they haven’t come there in the first place. Wherever they may search for scuba diving courses or their next diving holiday destination, as long as it is in the internet, they will sooner or later search on Google, Youtube, Facebook or TripAdvisor too.

Who needs Internet Marketing and SEO?

Internet Marketing for Dive Center Software

Internet Marketing Success!

Or in other words; who needs a great website for their business that ranks high in search engine results? And with high I mean the first page of Google. The answer is very simple today; everybody needs Internet Marketing and a website and a good rank! Absolutely everybody who wants to sell a product or service, needs Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. And this is especially true for all businesses involved in the tourist industry! Whoever books a holiday trip in 2011, no matter if they book in the travel office around the corner or if they book their vacation online, they will search for pictures and videos of their dream destination on Google before they buy! That’s a just a simple fact , nobody can afford to ignore anymore! And the decision about where to go on holiday this year, in which hotel or resort to stay and which dive school to choose for their diving course, will be greatly influenced by the findings on the internet. True? What do YOU do when you book your holiday? And this is where Internet Marketing ans search engine marketing comes into play.

Internet Marketing Success!

If your business is in the tourist industry, you probably already have a website for your business. But maybe your website isn’t on top of your competitors websites, and your competitor’s business is booming while you are still waiting for customers to walk by? Or maybe you already had a website made a few years ago and it is slowly but steadily going down in the search results because it lacks of syndication with the modern internet? Maybe your website just hasn’t been updated for the past two years or even longer and the pictures and galleries are old and everybody has seen them by now, especially Google. Then it’s time to do something right away! Be aware that your competition is out there, making the money you should make!

The Internet Changes and so does Online Marketing

Internet Marketing For Dive Centers

Internet Marketing Success!

The Internet is nothing steady or stable, it is constantly changing! Google changes, browsers change and new inventions such as tablets and androids are entering the market. This means we have to adjust our websites constantly to be “up to speed” on the newest developments in the internet and we have to know everything about the newest internet marketing tools and trends like Twitter and Facebook Pages.

Without most users even realizing, we have moved on from the good old “Internet” to Web 2.0, then to Web 3.0 and Web 4.0. We have come far into semantic search during the past years. While building websites has become an easy task for everybody, search engine optimization (SEO) and actually seeing the website on the first page of Google search results, has become rather difficult and complicated over time, one of the factors being the rapid growth of the internet in a sheer unbelievable rate, with a couple of hundred thousand new websites cluttering the web every single day.

What Else is New in Internet Marketing?

Internet Marketing for Dive Resorts

Internet Marketing Success!

Nowadays we have to consider the mobile market and Google’s Android OS. Websites need to be designed so they also work in the fast growing mobile market. Semantic search allows users to ask real questions on search engines, rather than entering one or two keywords only. Search engines today, gather their information from far more places then they did 5 years ago, and they are in need to deliver the best possible search results to the user. For a search engine like Google this means that adjustments to algorithms have to be made almost on daily bases to stay at the top of the search result providers. And the pressure grows as MSN evolved to become Bing and Yahoo also becomes better by the day.

Internet Marketing Success!

Some of the changes going on are visible to the user, such as the new Google search feature that presents results already while typing. Nevertheless, most of the changes that are going on, remain hidden and many of them are top secret. Today, search engines are gathering their information from thousands of places throughout the internet, from RSS feeds for example. They play an important role for semantic search results. Social Bookmarking Sites like Digg and Delicious and Social Networking Sites like Facebook with meanwhile 600 Million Members and also MySpace, have become important informants to search engine bots and are therefore vital for your business. It is our job to know all this and to be informed and to act appropriately and apply changes to our clients web projects.

The Super SEO Plugin

The BEST WordPress Plugin for SEO

SEOPressor Review

Best WordPress SEO Plugin 2011

Best WordPress Plugin 2011

OK, I say this right away: “This is a real MUST HAVE PLUGIN for everybody who works with WordPress!” and you can quote me on that any time. If you don’t know what SEO is, it doesn’t matter much. In fact, you won’t ever have to ask the question “What is SEO” at all anymore! But then there is the fact that content is king; so let me tell you a bit of what this plugin does to become The Best Ever SEO Plugin for WordPress:

It Analyses your WordPress Posts and Pages for the Best SEO

I may sound a bit overenthusiastic on this matter, but honestly, this plugin is all I ever wished for since I started working with WordPress 1.2! SEO Pressor analyses your blog on a factor known as the “SEO Score” to calculate the score of each of your blog posts. SEOPressor will take certain parameters into account and decide whether the article you’re working on will rank well on search engines or not. The score table is a very unique aspect of SEO Pressor and the best thing about it is that its results correspond exactly with what  Google is expecting from your article. You can see the results of your SEO score before you hit the publish button allowing you to make changes on the fly! Another great thing with this plugin is, there’s nothing you need to learn; it is just the simple download and install procedure and off you go. Despite the fact that this WordPress plugin is very complex; you really don’t need to be a genius or have any technical knowledge to use SEOPressor.

Scuba Diving in Koh Kood

Scuba Diving Koh Kood Thailand

Koh Kood’s finest dive center is set on the beautiful Bang Bao Beach, Koh Kood Divers was founded last year by Bob and his son Jessie, who have both lived in Thailand and worked as diving instructors for many years before they went to Koh Kood to open their own dive center. One of the first things they understood right away was that opening a new diving school would require some serious internet marketing to get the ball rolling. It was clear for them that just having a single website wouldn’t do the job here. The competition in the diving industry in Thailand is simply to big today. And so they came to us. Now, 8 month after the launch of their project and after everything is setup they way we’ve worked out, the scuba marketing of Koh Kood Diving is near to perfect.

Have a look at the website and you will find a lot of general information about the island Koh Kood, in the northern Gulf of Thailand and you will also find all you need to know about scuba diving and diving courses in Thailand. Koh Kood, or how it is sometimes spelled Ko Kut, offers not only great diving but also a relaxed and laid back climate, only to be found on small islands. Accommodation on the island is also available through their website and they will be happy to arrange everything you need on Koh Kood for you. This dive center offers all PADI scuba diving courses from beginner to professional diver. If you have a change of career in mind and you want to work underwater rather than in an office, this might just be the right spot to start.

Liveaboard Diving in Thailand

Liveaboard Diving Thailand

Liveaboard Diving is what we call a scuba diving trip where you stay on the boat for several days. Life outside the boat, the ‘real life’ seems to fade away as soon as the boat leaves the harbor. Liveaboard trips start from a two days/one night schedule but can also take 10 or more days. In Thailand we find many live aboard operators, most of them located on the west-coast of Thailand. Most of these operators schedule their trips around the Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock. Nevertheless, a few liveaboards go up north to include the Burma Banks, a beautiful diving area which has not even been fully discovered yet. Some liveaboard safari’s go also south and start their adventures on Hin Muang and Hin Deng, then slowly move north to Koh Ha, the Phi Phi Islands, the Similans and then to Surin Island.

How to Find the Right Live Aboard Boat

To find the right boat for your liveaboard safari can be a challenge since there are thousands of websites and hundreds of liveaboard offers on the Internet. Not all of them are recommendable though. We have sorted out the very best liveaboard offers for you on the website Liveaboard Thailand. This collection of boats comes with a full trip description and the most resent schedules for all recommended liveaboard trips in Thailand. You can also find lots of information about the boats and the Similan Islands on this website. Additionally you can also find many pictures and videos from above and from underwater. Diving in the Andaman Sea is a must for every enthusiastic scuba diver.
Liveaboard boats don’t have to be motor vessels! What about dive and sail? Imagine, all the fun of a liveaboard trip in Thailand and the Burma Banks without the noise of an engine running at all times. Gliding through the waters of the Andaman Sea from on beautiful dive site to the next, solely powered by a cool breeze of wind!

Internet Marketing for Liveaboard Operators

If you have come to this article because you own a liveaboard company and you need some serious internet marketing or you find that your boat isn’t listed in the above mentioned website and you feel that it could make a good addition to our collection of liveaboards, please don’t hesitate to contact us

Search Engine Optimization

Rise up to the top of Google Search Results

There are many SEO (Search Engine Optimization) factors involved in bringing your domain to the top of Google search results. The trouble is that, all things being equal, these factors are known and used by all your competitors as well, including the major multi billion dollar corporations that you hope to surpass. In fact, nearly all the SEO tricks you are using can be used by your competitors too.

You can write new articles every day and create new back links by the thousands, yet you may still not be able to beat those guys at the top. Remember, if you are just starting out, they have existed much longer than you, have page ranks much higher than you and many more backlinks.

So how do you beat them?

There is one SEO factor which can be unique to your own site: your domain name!

Therefore, you start by creating a domain name which includes the highest frequency keywords for your market niche, thereby creating what’s called a “keyword optimized” domain.

For example, in the credit card market, it is more useful to have a domain called creditcards.com, as opposed to something like visa.com. A search on google.com using the keywords “credit cards” will produce the results in the image below.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization

As you can see, the first site in the results is creditcards.com (sitting below the advertised sites of course), followed by major corporations such as visa.com, mastercard.com, americanexpress.com and so on. How does this happen, that a small company like creditcards.com gets to beat these other larger companies? The answer is, they have a domain name that contains the exact most frequently typed keywords in the market. This is a good example of the value of having an SEO optimized domain name and you are sure to will find this phenomenon in almost every niche you research.

Then how do you find out which keywords are the best for your company so that you can choose the most appropriate and financially rewarding domain?

Well, you first have to know what the most used keywords are with reference to your market niche. For this reason we use Market Samurai here at #One Internet Marketing, a software that does all the research for us and saves us hundreds of man hours. You just type in your market keywords and it gives you the best, most frequently searched for, most relevant keywords for that market. Market Samurai is your best choice of software to find the top domain(s) for your market niche. Market Samurai does reveal many other internet marketing factors too. Best you try it out yourself. It’s free for 7 days and so far the best ever internet marketing tool there is. I have no idea what we would do without it!

Moreover, having an SEO optimized domain magnifies the value of every article you write and every link you create, thereby pushing your site further up in the rankings. This means you, David, can work less and yet attain the same results, if not better, as your long standing Goliath competitors.

In addition to the internet marketing wonders of Market Samurai, which go way further than keyword research, we offer below some tips for building your sites in such a way as to get the best results:

  • Choose a keyword relevant domain. Having understood the importance of keyword optimised domains, when you sign up for your hosting account, always choose a keyword relevant domain.
  • Do research for the most frequently searched keywords. Always take the time to research the keywords relevant to your market niche carefully. Don’t make assumptions on high frequency keywords; people will always surprise you in terms of what they type in their searches. Remember that the work you put in to create the right domain will pay off ten-fold later on.
  • Park other currently used domains. If you already have a domain, you can always “park” it to your main domain, so that both sites show the same content. Beware; you can only submit ONE of your domain names to the search engine, otherwise you will produce duplicated content.
  • Registering your site and avoiding duplicated content. Bare in mind that Google does not take kindly to duplicated content. Therefore, it’s best to only submit to Google your main domain, leaving out any “parked” domains you may have. Never tell Google about your website more than once.
  • No multiple sitemaps. For the same reason, do not make multiple site maps. There can only be one sitemap per website, not per domain name.
  • Register your website with Google. The best way to register your site with Google, is to go to Google Webmaster Tools and add your sitemap there. Upload and Verify your sitemap.
  • Buy competitive domains. With the above in mind, go ahead and buy as many competitive domains as you can afford. This will keep your competitors from buying these domains and using them to beat you in the search results position.
  • Localize your URL with international domain names. If your business is relevant to a particular location, it’s best to acquire the domain relevant to that location, in addition to the main domain. If, for example, you are targeting the English market, it is wise to acquire the English url, e.g. yourbusiness.co.uk, in addition to yourbusiness.com.

We strongly recommend that you purchase Market Samurai today so that you can be one step ahead of your competitors, before you even start your internet business. The best part is that you can save $ 50 by clicking the above link and buy Market Samurai within the next 7 days.

Dive Center Marketing

Language Specific Dive Center Marketing

Scuba Diving Courses in Thailand - Tauchkurs Thailand Although we meanwhile all expect everybody on this planet to speak more or less perfect English, there are still many people who are much more familiar with their native language and if they can choose to get the information the need in their own language the will always prefer to read in their native language. If we now provide the information about our products and services only in English, while our competitors have their sites in English and German, we are likely to miss out on the larger part of 80 million people who could become customers. There are some industries which are more effected by this fact than others. Scuba Diving for example relies very much on different languages…. and Tauchkurs Thailand does look different than Dive Course Thailand to search engines as well as to humans.

Why are multi language sites so important for scuba marketing?

If one wants to learn how to dive he will always prefer to get the Scuba Diving Lessons in his native language just because the learning will be much easier and less time consuming. Learning to dive on holidays is especially effected because time is even more valuable here. Having a diving website for example also in German language will build the confidence to get the diving lessons as well in German and you will have the undivided attention of the prospect on your site.

Is it better to have a multilingual site or two separate websites?

Obviously, having two websites instead of only one multilingual site lets you have different and country specific URLs,which is an advantage by itself, but then there are also all the other things a multilingual site doesn’t offer; no separate alt tags, no language specific picture names, titles, descriptions and many other details. These are the parts on a website which can have a serious impact on the search engine positioning of your website. We strongly recommend to build two different websites and even place them on two different physical locations/servers.

Real Estate Marketing

Property for Sale in New Zealand
Internet Marketing for Real Estate and Property is a completely different challenge than Internet Marketing for Dive Centers. When we started 10 years ago with our first real estate website for a Hotel complex in Samos Island in Greece, we had no idea what we where getting into. The site was only online for two years, then the property was sold over the Internet. This was our first success in Internet Marketing for Properties. Since then we have created many real estate websites for land and houses in Greece, Property in New Zealand and also some real estate websites for some friends in Thailand.

As always, we are trying to get the top spot on all search engines for our real estate agents and land owners. In most cases this works out just fine. Internet marketing for real estate needs to include many pictures and picture galleries of the property for sale. It also needs an accurate description of the estate. A real estate website also needs to provide information on what is included in the land price, like water, electricity, paperwork, real estate agent fees and other important details.

What I’m saying is; if you have land for sale, or a business for sale, you need to list it in as many places as possible, but you stand a far better chance to sell your property if you make a small website especially for this property. Make a standalone website or blog for each property you have to offer. You can do this for free at blogger.com or wordpress.com. Nevertheless, if you would like a professionally made and taken care of website to promote your real estate, please contact us and we will be happy to make you an offer for your personal project. It doesn’t matter if you run a small business or even are selling your own plot of land. Building a website to sell real estate is not expensive but will help to show and sell your property more easily.
