About Web Hosting Accounts
What is the difference between an own webhosting account or an ecommerce web hosting account and a so called “reseller hosting account”. Obviously there will be less space, less bandwidth, less service and other disadvantages on a reseller web hosting account. Most disturbing though is that companies selling reseller hosting accounts like Hostgator for example, will give the reseller tools, such as their own name servers, to hide that they are actually selling small portions of an account to their clients. In most cases these small web hosting accounts will be enough for their clients, as long as they don’t intend to make for example multilingual versions of their websites, which would, if done the right way, require much larger web space than a reseller account usually provides. It is always a good idea to read the terms of service of a web hosting company before signing up. This avoids unpleasant surprises in web hosting. It all comes down to the fact that just about everybody can become a webhoster today, no special knowledge is required to get into one of the largest money making industries in the world! A retired Granny can do it! Here at One Internet marketing though, all our clients have their very own full webhosting account with all the benefits and the support of a huge web hosting company. We will show our clients where to look and we offer advice, but the decision where the site finally is hosted is always up to our customers.
Multilingual Internet Marketing
Instructeur Plongee is the second website we are developing and promoting for the PADI Course Director Patrick Tassin from France. Patrick runs PADI Diving instructor courses in French language on the Island of Koh Tao, in the Gulf of Thailand. Patrick was sent to us from Asia Divers in Sairee, another “old” client of 1 Internet Marketing. In this case we have the first example on how strong a weapon multiple websites in Internet Marketing are. For one, multiple websites serve the purpose of multi presence and different looks and feels to convert different targeted groups for the same product. A multi presence in the Internet via several websites also allows a business to present it’s products and services in different languages. I am well aware the fact hat even with a simple wordpress installation e can have a multi lingual blog in minutes! But would hat really be the full 100% of what we can achieve to market the product or he service we want to promote on this website? Is this the right Internet marketing strategy? The best we can do?
NO, we don’t and it isn’t! A multilingual blog or CMS will never be as strong as a single language website can be for a product offered on the site. There are meta tags to consider, there are alt tags in pictures, file names that contain important keywords and key phrases in one or the other language. But most of all there is the domain name that best contains a regional touch! A .de ending of your url for Germany on a German language version of your website will work wonders in the German SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). This is not mandatory though and in this case we didn’t even go that far. If you search the net for phrases like “Plongee Koh Tao” or “Instructeur Plongee” or something related, you will see what i mean. There is a lot more to multilingual websites and how to set websites up for regional customer targeting. Check back frequently or better sign up to our RSS fed so you will be informed about every new update of ‘One Internet Marketing Service’.
DiveShopManager is one of the few actual “Products” we are advertising for. One Internet Marketing specializes more in Services than i products. Actually DiveShopSoftware.com was the first website we needed a shopping cart for.
Even though the search results for websites containing the search string dive center software, has gone from 270’000 in 2002 to just about 1 million today, the first page of Google still belongs pretty much to our client ProData Software and their software “DiveShopManager”. ProData Software also developed a second large product that has been widely distributed via PAD file, the Hotel Reservation Software, HotRez. #One Internet Marketing also presents this software on the net, but we will get to this a little bit later.
East Puerto Rico Diving is a relatively new scuba diving company that conducts scuba diving lessons and scuba diving tours from Palmas del Mar in eastern Puerto Rico. EPD hired us in July 2008, shortly before they where planing to open their brand new dive center.
We have been doing the complete palette from business cards over brochures to the Website, which is the kind of work we all like best and it brings the most success because all parts can play nicely together and advertise each other. You got that right; we are advertising the advertisement, that is what is the difference between Internet Marketing and any other kind of marketing. Nobody ever wanted to advertise a brochure and no one ever needed to. Websites though need to be advertised as much as possible all over the Internet. That is not only to bring more visitors to the business owners website, but also to create as many direct back links as possible to the website in question.
The East Puerto Rico Diving website has up until today, near to 7’000 back links! Remember the website is only 10 month old! If you now start a search for diving in pr or anything like it please, – try to imagine you want to go diving to Puerto Rico, either to participate on a dive tour or looking for scuba diving lessons; I would like to leave the search phrase up to you…. And don’t forget to search at Google images! People who are planing a scuba diving vacation will always look for pictures of their destination in the Internet first, that is ALWAYS!
